Coro! announces auditions for their 2018-2019 concert season. Coro! is a vocal ensemble that provides its members the opportunity to perform solos, duets, and small and full ensembles from the classical, opera, operetta, and lyric stage repertoire.
This season will include an apprentice artistYoung Student Recital, a unique Summer Gala, to be announced later, in the summer of 2018, and Mozart and the Musicians' Memoirs in the fall of 2018 . The 2019 concert series will begin in April with Twin Cities Americana, showcasing compositions about the Twin Cities during the turn of the century. These concerts are excellent opportunities for singers who are looking to gain additional experience and sing with a fine and dedicated ensemble.

For the Audition
Coro! desires singers who can commit to our full ensemble and the possibility of being part of featured groups (duets, trios, etc.) or solos. When you audition for Coro! you are committing to a membership for the season as a full ensemble singer, even if you are also invited to be a soloist or part of a featured group. Thus, singers may participate in following categories:
Singers wishing to sing primarily in the full ensemble and not participate in solo or small ensemble work.
Singers who are in training and seeking a professional career in the vocal arts. Singers in this category may be offered further coaching and music education opportunities.
Soloist and Small Ensemble Singers
Participation in this category is dependent on the season programming and decisions made by the artistic director.
If chosen for Coro! please note that singers are not required to pay a membership fee.

February 16, Friday 5pm - 7pm
February 17, Saturday 1pm - 5pm
Please prepare two pieces in contrasting style from one or more of the following genres: art song, opera, operetta, lyric stage, or classical folksong. Pieces that are memorized and sung in their original languages are preferred.
Please bring the following materials to your audition:
1. Your current resume and headshot if available.
2. A clear copy of your audition pieces for the accompanist.
3. Your calendar with noted commitments or conflicts.

A staff accompanist is provided for a nominal fee or you may bring your own accompanist. Cash or check are accepted.
